The University of Wyoming Extension will host a Discover Native Plants Workshop on Tuesday, May 30, in Cody. The workshop runs from 9am-4pm at the Thomas the Apostle Center and has a $25 fee that includes lunch and take home materials. The 6th Annual Dano’Lope’ Dash will be held at the Park County Fairgrounds in Powell on Saturday, June 3, with an 8am start time. The event benefits the Dano Youth Camp and features: a one mile dash; a 5K run or walk; a 10K run; and, a post-race brunch. Overall and age division awards will be presented to top runners. The 3rd Annual Cody Outdoor Show is June 2nd, 3rd, and 4th at the Reily Ice Arena in Cody. Aimed at hunters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts, this year’s show features, many vendors, concessions, a pellet gun range and an indoor fishing pond for the kids. The 2017 Montana Renaissance Festival is coming to Zoo Montana in Billings on June 3rd and 4th. The Powell Valley Recycling Center located at 946 Road 10 in Powell is open for assisted recycling drop off on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10am to 5pm. They accept: cardboard, aluminum, newspaper, steel cans, office paper, plastic grocery bags, and numbers 1 and 2 plastics. The center does not accept glass. Self help drop off bins are available during non business hours and days.
